In earley May 2012 we spent two nights in the Vegas area (State line on I-15). However we did go into Vegas.  We found Whisky Pete's to be in verious states of disrepair and will never stay there again. The rooms were cheap and now we know why. Ha!

A primary purpose for this trip was to see the "Pawn Stars" pawn shop on Las Vegas Boulavard near Old Town. It turned out to be smaller and "duller" than we expected.

I think we both felt a little self conscious taking pictures inside when there were so many people mulling around. The two above were I took inside and Vicky took zilch. Oh well we're just learning what and how for our big trip next month. (hope we do a little better.)

Hello World

Ernie and Vicky are retiring and we hope to have many travels to share with our families and friends. The first of three planed trips is a short jaunt to Vegas primarily to see the Pawn Stars pawn shop. This will only be a two nighter and will be done on May 6, 2012. We hope to share a few pictures and our opinion of the trip. We encourage people to comment on our blog and hope that we wont have to limit access do to outside visitors.
